ABOUT US
Fire Station Creative is a facility that was opened by John Byrne in July 2015.
This iconic building was errected in 1934 and housed the Fire and Rescue Service for many years until their move in 2010 to new premises.
It lay empty for several years but thanks to a dedicated group of local business people and artists and the generous support of Fife Council, Creative Scotland, The Roberston Trust, Fife Environment Trust, Barcaple Foundation, Community Union and Educational Institute of Scotland, the facility is now open to the public and available for all things creative!
SUPPORT US
Fire Station Creative is a social enterprise - all profits raised are reinvested in the property and it's projects - so every cup of coffee sold goes to supporting the arts!
So far - we are delighted to say that we are self sufficient. Lets keep it that way!

Nordoff Robbins is the UK’s largest music
therapy charity. Music therapy is an HCPC regulated profession
which uses music as a means of communication and self-expression to
achieve positive change. Qualified music therapists use music to
enrich the lives of people with life-limiting illnesses,
disabilities and feelings of isolation.
Nordoff Robbins has open access centres in Fife, Edinburgh, Dundee
and Glasgow. The Fife base has been located at the Fire Station
Creative since March 2018. Three therapists currently work from
this space, providing therapy to individuals and small groups with
a variety of needs. We also collaborate with organisations
throughout the region to provide services in a range of locations,
including both mainstream and special schools, residential and NHS
settings. We work closely with staff and professionals and provide
regular training opportunities in these settings, to promote
understanding, support and collaboration and to provide the best
possible service for our clients.
We are very grateful to the Carnegie Dunfermline Trust, Fife
Council and the Fire Station Creative for facilitating the funding
our centre in Fife.
